Fic: 'Villanelle for Luna' - Luna/Dean - G
Title: Villanelle for Luna
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Luna Lovegood/Dean Thomas
Prompt: 045 - Moon
Word Count: 134
Rating: G
Summary: Dean’s developing feelings for Luna
Author's Notes: I thought I’d do something different, but I’m no poet so I needed the framework of a set form – sonnets are cheesy and sestinas are too long. So I ended up going with a villanelle.

The moonlight shines silver on the shore,
A blue that’s never bright as your eyes
And I never felt like this before.

In this moment I forget the war,
The dark waves no longer echo cries,
The moonlight shines silver on the shore.

What we have gets harder to ignore
As we lie staring up at strange skies,
And I never felt like this before.

And if the rain should begin to pour
I’ll always recall, despite goodbyes,
The moonlight shines silver on the shore.

Nothing seems what it was anymore;
The whole world has shed an old disguise
And I never felt like this before.

Luna, you’ve shaken me to my core.
Though it has taken me by surprise,
The moonlight shines silver on the shore
And I never felt like this before.
